Areas covered: Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Alderney

A holiday on Guernsey is all about simple pleasures. Like seaside strolls and cliff-top walks. Like good food made with local produce. Like knowing that you don’t have to rush because everything you want is close at hand. There are castles and forts and one of the prettiest harbour towns in Europe. And there’s the excitement that comes with being somewhere different coupled with the reassurance that you’re not far from home.

With our Tasty Walks this spring, there are even more reasons to visit the island. A specially created programme of guided walks with a culinary finale runs from 1 March until 30 April. Designed to help you uncover some of Guernsey’s hidden history, beautiful landscape and delicious food, this is the perfect way to sample the island.

Guernsey is also the perfect launch pad to explore the neighbouring sister islands, Herm, Sark and Alderney each offering different scenery and experiences.

Getting to Guernsey is easy, whether you choose to fly to the island or travel to Guernsey by ferry or regular flights and sea crossings mean you could be exploring the Bailiwick just hours after setting off from home. Flights take as little as 30 minutes from Gatwick and not much longer from any of seven (eight during peak season) regional airports. Or if you’d prefer, fast ferries make the short crossing from ports on the south coast of England.

With no exchange rates to worry about Guernsey is a high quality, good value destination with an abundance of attractions, restaurants and hotels that cater for small, medium or larger groups. The destination offers a mix of inbound tour operators, able to facilitate a complete package, carriers for travel only, tour and transport providers along with local accredited guides who can be contracted with directly for general or special interest tours.

VisitGuernsey can also offer advice which will help you produce a tailored itinerary to suit specific requirements.
