Lichfield District is in the heart of Staffordshire, in the heart of England, so is an ideal location to welcome groups from all over the country. Lichfield is known as the City of Philosophers and was home to Erasmus Darwin, grandfather of Charles; Samuel Johnson of dictionary fame; the actor David Garrick; the poet Anna Seward and Elias Ashmole. Today groups can visit, and have guided tours of, the home of Darwin and the birthplace of Johnson, as well as visiting the Lichfield Musuem which takes vistors on a self-guided tour of the city’s 2000 year history. Lichfield is a proud winner of the Coach Friendly City award with nine dedicated coach bays, driver incentives and special themed events throughout the year. See our website for details.
