They were rated one of the top 5 coastal gardens in the country by BBC Gardeners’ World magazine, chosen as of the 10 best gardens to visit in spring by the Independent magazine , the Howick Arboretum featured in the BBC’s production from Kew Gardens in a series called ‘The Trees that Made Britain’, Gardens Illustrated Magazine with Gardens Museum awarded Howick ‘Garden of the Year’ in 2009.
