This event is part of the Marine Conservation Society's (MCS) Beachwatch, a nationwide annual beach clean-up and litter survey organised which takes place on beaches all over the UK. Each piece of litter collected is identified, weighed and recorded before being carefully disposed of. The data collected goes towards the Marine Conservation Society’s national survey, which is subsequently used to help raise public awareness of the impact of litter on the environment. Suitable for children aged 3 upwards, this is a great way of helping your local environment. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult at all times and will receive a free goody bag for taking part. Please make sure to wear comfortable clothes and sturdy footwear on the day. Gloves and hand sanitiser will be provided on the day. To get involved email donna.everett@thedeep.co.uk.
