Brigg has a tradition of markets going back over 800 years with its Thursday Market and is well known as a great place for independent retailers as well. Established in 2000, the award winning Farmers’ Market has quickly grown to one of the best in the country. Held on the 4th Saturday of the month (Christmas dates vary) the market regularly has over thirty stalls selling a wide range of quality local produce. Browse around the stalls sampling such things as smoked salmon, delicious cheeses, handmade breads and cakes and the best jams and chutneys around. Then when you’ve done all that why not treat yourself to really great ice cream?
