Once across the crystal clear river, visitors enter a piece of paradise. Ancient trees, bubbling brooks and rolling lawns frame this lovely old house.

An 18th-century home with a medieval priory at its heart, Mottisfont inspired a 1930s dream of creativity. Artists came here to relax and make work, some of which is still visible in our historic rooms. This tradition continues today, along with major exhibitions in our top-floor gallery. Outside, carpets of spring bulbs, a walled rose garden, rich autumn leaves and a colourful winter garden make Mottisfont a feast for the senses all year round.
