A magnificent golden mansion surrounded by formal lawns, famous wobbly hedges, grand trees and garden pavilions.

This Elizabethan house is full of oak-panelled rooms with period furniture and tapestries. It has the longest gallery in England, and, as part of a partnership with the National Portrait Gallery, shows more than 50 Tudor and Jacobean portraits (including Henry VIII and Elizabeth I) from the national collection. There is spring colour and vivid flower and rose borders in summer. In winter, follow the crisp lines of the lawns and hedges and enjoy stunning views of the house.

Note: large groups need to split into smaller groups (maximum 20 people) for house visit due to load-bearing restrictions.

Charges may apply, for more information please contact the property.
