Set in Scotland's first National Park, amidst stunning mountains, Crianlarich marks the halfway point on the West Highland Way. With 20 Munros in the locality and trout fishing nearby, this popular youth hostel offers good facilities and a warm welcome. It’s a great base for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the northern area of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.

Reasons to stay
There are regular visits from steam trains in the summer. St Fillan Priory and Dalrigh Battlefield site are 4 miles away. Other activities nearby or within an hour’s drive from the youth hostel include fishing by the River Fillan, Loch Dochart, River Dochart (permits can be bought locally). Golfing at Killin and Dalmally, Gold Panning in Tyndrum, Crianlarich Woodland Walk, Cruach Ardrain Munro – start from the youth hostel. Ben More and Sob Binnien are 3 miles east of the youth hostel.
