Quoile Castle is built on River Quoile for local notable Captain West at the end of the 16th Century. Nearby is Quoile Pondage Nature Reserve adjacent to the Quoile Estuary, which was created by the construction of a tidal barrier across the estuary of the River Quoile in 1957.
