A spectacular example of Georgian architecture, designed by Thomas Cooley, and built as The Royal Exchange between 1769-1779 for the then prosperous Dublin’s merchant population. This exhibition offers an introduction to Dublin’s colourful past. It traces the evolution of the city from before the Anglo-Norman invasion of 1170 to the present day in a friendly and easy-to-understand way, using interactive touch screens, film clips and city treasures.
