Brodsworth Hall is unique - an unrivalled and memorable opportunity for your group to experience an English country house as it really was. Other places boast that they’re ‘frozen in time’: Brodsworth really is. Lavishly built and furnished by millionaires in the 1860s, Brodsworth was lived in by the same family for over 120 years. After the death of the last owner in 1988, the mansion was carefully ‘conserved as found’ but we’ve recently carried out much needed conservation work to maintain the fabric of the house. Outside, the gardens are alive with seasonal displays and colour. Groups can walk through tunnels, over bridges and along woodlands paths to enjoy the gardens to their full.

  • Explore the grand state rooms filled with statues. Marvel at ‘family clutter’ spanning from Victorian times until the late 1980s.
  • Discover decades of family life in all its grand, faded glory. See the servants’ spartan living conditions and venture behind the scenes into the rooms where they worked to keep the house running
  • like clockwork.
  • Wander through Brodsworth’s 15 acres of awardwinning restored gardens which are a delight whatever the season. They include colourfully planted formal designs, rose, alpine and woodland gardens.
  • Enjoy permanent displays about the house, family, servants and estate community and glean extra information from friendly local volunteer guides.

TOP TIP
