Test out your putting skills on their nine-hole crazy golf course and whizz around the track on the pedal cars. Stop to refuel in The Firebox Café at Clayton West Station or enjoy waffles, brownies, and scoops of Grandpa Greene’s Luxury Ice Cream at The Turntable dessert parlour at Shelley Station.
 
You can even bring your four-legged friend with you for a full family day out! Well-behaved pooches are very welcome at Whistlestop Valley on general admissions days and are permitted to travel free-of-charge on the Kirklees Light Railway. All they ask is that you book your dog a ticket and keep them on a short leash during your visit.
 
There are a host of special events throughout the year to keep your little ones entertained, from character events such as Paddington™ and Bluey for 2024. They also have their Annual Steam and Diesel Gala in September and Day Out With Thomas in July/October. Not forgetting their Halloween Ghost Train and very popular Christmas events in November and December.
 
Whistlestop Valley is open most weekends, bank holidays and daily during most local school holidays and there is a large, free car park located at Clayton West Station.
