The Shropshire County Show, one of the oldest surviving agricultural shows in the country. Whilst it will continue to represent agriculture at its very best in the county, it will be even more attractive to young people and families of all backgrounds.
"An even bigger Poultry Show which has been moved to the Berwick Pavilion and which attracts large numbers of young people and their families, many more attractions including the now established Child Zone, Funfair, new Main Arena events and even more farm machinery than ever before are all part of our attempt to provide something for everyone," says Society Chairman Lance Jackson
‘I have also been greatly heartened by the number of merchants, local traders and agricultural suppliers who have already committed to what will once again be a one day show," says Lance. "Over recent years we have sadly lost some of the big agricultural dealers and contractors but we are really pleased to see them returning next year. Their commitment and support encourages me and my colleagues’ endeavours to not only ensure the survival of one of the oldest agricultural shows in the land but make it one of the very best also."
The ever popular Tractor Pulling also returns this year, where high powered tractor units pull a weighted sledge.
To encourage even more families to attend the show the organisers have agreed that entrance in 2015 will be free for children who are 11 and under with special concessions for all young people. Tickets are available now at a promotional rate and further details are available to www.shrophirecountyshow.com
