Strawberry Hill is internationally famous as Britain’s finest and first example of Georgian Gothic revival architecture. Our expert guides will take you on a magical 90 minute tour of this charming “little gothic castle”; the masterpiece of Horace Walpole, man of letters and son of Britain’s first Prime Minister Sir Robert Walpole.
Your group will follow in the footsteps of eighteenth century tourists, exploring Strawberry Hills beautifully restored rooms which won the Europa Nostra grand prize in conservation in 2013. There will be opportunity to admire the unique collection of renaissance stained glass as well as learn about Horace Walpole and his contempories.
Guided tours can be booked for groups of 10 or more on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from February to November inclusive. These can be tailored to your requirements whether it be arranging a tasty lunch or adding a tour of the beautifully restored eighteenth century garden.
Guided group tours of the house are charged at £13.50 per person, this includes your guides. In order to ensure a quality experience larger groups are spilt into smaller groups of no more than 20 per guide.
