Whilst Britannia may rule the waves, Bamburgh is king of the castles. The ancient capital of Northumbria still rules over the surrounding coast and countryside. Offering fantastic views from the grounds and battlements out to the Farne islands and Lindisfarne.
Open all year for group visits, there are options for free guided tours, exclusive access just for your group and introductory talks. Within its fourteen Staterooms, with stunning architecture and over 3000 artefacts there is always something of interest to everyone. The old laundry houses the Armstrong and Aviation Artefacts Museum, a fascinating collection that gives visitors a glimpse into the life of the industrialist Lord Armstrong and the legacy he left behind. The Stable Gallery is home to an exhibition of paintings by the celebrated Northumbrian artist Peter Phillips, with hundreds of images in a variety of media depicting the castle and village. The cafeteria offers a full range of hot and cold drinks, snacks and meals. There is parking for several coaches and turning space and we feed and water the drivers!
We offer groups of fifteen or more a 20% discount on the walk up price and are happy to invoice after the visit.
