Penshurst Place has been the ancestral home of the Sidney family since 1552 and has been described as ‘the grandest and most perfectly preserved example of a fortified manor house in all England’. The 11 acres of Gardens are as old as the original house, with walls and terraces added in the Elizabethan era and offering an abundance of variety, form, foliage and bloom throughout the year.
