In 2018, Arundel Castle in West Sussex is celebrating the 950th anniversary of its initial construction with a packed schedule of historical events, all of which are perfect for group visits.

The Castle was founded at the end of the 11th century by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel and today is the family home of the 18th Duke of Norfolk. Steeped in almost 1,000 years of history, it offers a full day out with guided and free-flow tours available.

The crowning glory of the 2018 open season will be the annual Jousting and Medieval Tournament. For the tournament’s 10th anniversary six days of intense action will take place between previous winners of the competition, concluding with the crowning of the ‘Champion of Champions’ in a thrilling finale.

This summer is also the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Collector Earl’s Garden, which will play host to the Annual Tulip Festival in April, with more than 60,000 stunning blooms on display. This will be followed by the Allium Extravaganza in early summer.

Group visitors can take advantage of reduced ticket prices plus free admission for group organisers, tour guides, teachers and supervisors. Coach drivers are also given free coach parking, free admission and a complimentary restaurant voucher.
