Charleston was the home and country meeting place of the Bloomsbury group. The interior was painted by the artists Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell, and together with their collection, Charleston forms a unique example of their decorative style.


 

Charleston welcomes group bookings in the morning and early evenings outside of our public opening hours, Wednesday – Saturday. Groups of up to 50 people can be accommodated by prior arrangement.

 

All group visits are by guided tour, led by our expert guides. Larger groups are divided so that each guide takes no more than 10 visitors around the house, providing an intimate and special experience. We offer a choice of tours to share different aspects of Charleston’s unique and fascinating history.

Services such as refreshments on arrival, bespoke lectures and workshops can also be arranged with advance booking.

Our group rates start from £11.00 per person (minimum charge £110.00)
