The Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth, in Devon, is home to hundreds of friendly rescue donkeys just waiting to meet you - completely free of charge. Explore the new Visitor Centre, gift shop and The Kitchen restaurant, where discounted menus are available for pre-booked groups of 10 or more. Coach drivers eat free and a guided tour is included with all bookings. Open 364 days a year, admission and parking is free. Dogs on leads are welcome.


 Set in beautiful rolling countryside, visitors are welcome to enjoy the coastal scenery, tackle one of the many walks or simply enjoy the company of the donkeys.

The site welcomes groups of any size and the donkeys love the added fuss and attention they receive. Open 365 days a year; admission is free and coach parking is available on-site.

There is a well-stocked shop, Visitors’ Centre and Hayloft restaurant offering a range of delicious local and traditional meals and snacks. The site also houses a fun maze, video room, nature centre and family picnic areas.

If you pre-book your visit with the Visitors’ Centre, you can enjoy group only benefits of discount vouchers for tea/coffee and cake at the restaurant, an introductory talk to your group and free drink and cake for coach drivers.
