Portmeirion is an Italianate village in Snowdonia, which was the brainchild of the architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. Ideal for groups, it offers formal gardens as well as a 70 acre headland, extensive beaches, and several shops and cafes. In season, a free introductory tour and land train ride also offered.
